CORROSION TESTS
In our fully equipped testing laboratory, we perform corrosion tests on any material, in order to verify the resistance to wear and attack of particular corrosive agents, thus demonstrating compliance with specific regulations.
The tests are carried out in accordance with the parameters described in the UNI EN 9227:2017 and UNI EN 1670:2007 standards.
NEUTRAL SALT SPRAY TEST (NSS)
We specialize in conducting neutral salty fog tests, in order to assess the resistance of any coating material or surface to the action of corrosive agents. The aim is to qualitatively compare different materials/ coatings or simply know more about the corrosion reaction of the product under test. The duration of the test varies from a few hours to thousands: it actually depends on the moment when the corrosive phenomenon is triggered. In a special chamber, a corrosive environment is recreated by spraying a saline solution (5% NaCI), at 35 ºC. The products to be tested are placed inside this chamber, where their degree of corrosion is assessed and documented. Often the product tests include intermediate controls, necessary to verify the progress of the corrosive action.
